ShDonna Drumgoole
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern (Augusta University)
I am currently completing my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Augusta University, and I am thrilled to be a part of Augusta Counseling Professionals as a counseling student intern. My passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges led me to pursue a career in counseling. With a foundation in person-centered and gestalt theories, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where children, adolescents, and adults can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
Prior to starting the counseling program, I spent over 15 years as a social worker and have had the privilege to serve diverse populations in a number of settings. I was a trained forensic interviewer and parent educator with Child Enrichment, a case manager with the Augusta Partnership for Children and Families, and a school counselor at Lakeside Middle School.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I am a wife and mother of five children. I have a passion for music and if there is a food festival in town, that’s where you can find me. My husband recently retired from the military after serving for over 20 years, and I am happy to be back in the Augusta area to plant roots and have a place to call home.
