Leila Mohammadizadeh, MEd

Pre-Licensed Counselor

I earned my Master’s in Counselor Education with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Augusta University. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate their thoughts, emotions, and challenges in a safe, supportive environment. My goal is to build mutual respect and trust with my clients to help them achieve their unique therapeutic goals.

I offer individual counseling for adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger issues, and relationship challenges while exploring identity development, enhancing self-esteem, and pursuing personal growth. I also work with couples, focusing on helping partners understand one another and grow closer through that deeper understanding.

My approach aims to help you uncover the underlying patterns and experiences that shape your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will explore these insights in a collaborative and empathetic way, emphasizing the importance of your personal experiences. I integrate an existential perspective by encouraging you to explore deeper questions about purpose, meaning, and values in a way that feels approachable and relevant to your life. This comprehensive and personalized approach ensures that our work is tailored to your unique needs and therapeutic goals.

I truly value the opportunity to connect with people and support them in discovering their strengths and working toward meaningful change. I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of your journey and help you achieve the goals that matter most to you.

In addition to my clinical work, I have experience leading a mentorship program that supports undergraduates with marginalized identities as they transition into their first year of college. Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked with children and adolescents from various cultural backgrounds. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats and goats, cooking, and listening to audiobooks.
